The editorial team made substantial revisions for the third edition of the dictionary of the newly discovered dead language Ugaritic. They have taken into account lexicographical criticism, have corrected all typographical errors pointed out to them, have made translations of the texts uniform across entries, and have dropped most bibliographical references before 1970 and added many since 2000. The most significant addition, they say, are lexemes from the texts published in Ras Shamra-Ougarit 18 ('Maison d’Ourtenou', 1994-2002 campaigns).
